Tabassum Hashmi

Tabu (born Tabassum Hashmi on 4 November 1970) is an Indian film actress. She has mainly acted in Hindi films, though she has also starred in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Marathi, Bengali language films, as well as one American film.
















She has won the National Film Award for Best Actress twice, and she holds the record for the most wins of Filmfare's Critics Award for Best Female Performer, with four.
















Despite a few exceptions, Tabu is best-known for acting in artistic, low-budget films that go on to garner more critical appreciation than substantial box office figures.
















Her appearances in commercially successful films were few, and her parts in these films were small, such as Border (1997), Saajan Chale Sasural (1996), Biwi No.1 and Hum Saath-Saath Hain: We Stand United (1999).
















Her most notable performances include Maachis (1996), Virasat (1997), Hu Tu Tu (1999), Astitva (2000), Chandni Bar (2001), Maqbool (2003) and Cheeni Kum (2007). Her leading role in Mira Nair's American film The Namesake also drew major praise. Known to be selective about her film roles, she has said, "I do films which move me and most of all, the unit and the director should appeal to me."
















Tabu was born in Hyderabad to Jamal Hashmi and Rizwana in 1971, although other sources indicate 1970. Soon after, her parents divorced. Her mother was a school teacher and her maternal grandparents were retired professors who ran a school. Her grandfather, Mohammed Ahsan was a professor of Mathematics and her grandmother was a professor of English Literature. She went to St. Anns high school in Hyderabad. Tabu moved to Mumbai in 1983 and studied at St. Xavier's College for two years.

Twinkle Khanna

Twinkle Khanna (born Tina Jatin Khanna, 29 December 1974) is an Indian film actress who has acted in Bollywood and Telugu films. She is the wife of Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar and the daughter of established actors, Dimple Kapadia and Rajesh Khanna. After leaving film industry in 2001, she ventured into interior designing and is now the co-owner of The White Window store.
















Khanna made her debut opposite Bobby Deol in Barsaat (1995). The film did well at the box office, and she received the Filmfare Best Debut Award for her performance. After an eye surgery for a slight cross-eye condition, Khanna went on to do many films which got her good reviews and recognition from the audience.















She has acted with some of the renowned actors in the industry, including Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Saif Ali Khan, and Govinda.
















Her notable film roles include the girl next door in Jab Pyaar Kisise Hota Hai (1998) with Salman Khan, the undercover spy along with Shahrukh Khan in Baadshah (1999) and the village belle in Mela (2000). She paired with Venkatesh in the year 1999 in a Telugu film, Seenu. Film director, Karan Johar admitted in an interview that Khanna was in his mind for the role of Tina in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, but she refused it and thus Rani Mukerji was signed.















Khanna left the industry after her marriage to Akshay Kumar in 2001, citing that she did not enjoy the acting profession anymore. Her last film was Love Ke Liye Kuchh Bhi Karega (2001), which was an average grosser at the box office.
















In 2002, Khanna opened her own interior design store in Crawford Market, Mumbai called The White Window, in partnership with her long time friend Gurlein Manchanda. Since then, the store has received a prestigious Elle Decor International Design Award (from Indian edition of Elle Decor magazine). She has opened up another branch of the flagship store elsewhere in Mumbai and plans to expand throughout India.

Sonali Bendre

Sonali Bendre (born 1 January 1975) is an Indian actress and model. She has mostly starred in Bollywood films but has acted in many hit Telugu films as well as a few number of Marathi,Tamil and Kannada films. She was also one of the four judges in the fourth season of Indian Idol and India's Got Talent.

















Sonali was born in Mumbai in korba sarasawat brahmin family. She studied in Bangalore and Mumbai in Kendriya Vidyalaya Antop Hill, Sion and Holy Cross High School Thane. She married film actor/director Goldie Behl on 12 November 2002. On 9 August 2005, she gave birth to a son, Ranveer, at the Breach Candy Hospital.
















Bendre started out as a model before being selected for the "Star Dust Talent Search". She was invited to Mumbai and received training from a variety of top actors and performers of the Indian film industry. Her first role was in Aag (1994) opposite Govinda.

















Though she initially struggled to be a successful actress, she was eventually given critical acclaim for her performances in films like Bhai (1997),Murari (Telugu film) Sarfarosh, Zakhm, Duplicate, Kadhalar Dhinam (Tamil film), Hum Saath-Saath Hain: We Stand United (1999), Tera Mera Saath Rahey and Anaahat (2003) among many others.
















She is also known for being one of the few actresses who acted opposite all top four Khans (Aamir, Shahrukh, Salman and Saif). She has also starred opposite some of the other biggest names in bollywood such as Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Ajay Devgan, Sanjay Dutt and Anil Kapoor.
















Next to her well-received performances, she was also recognized as a graceful dancer through films like Gaddar(1995),Sapoot, Bombay, Lajja and Major Saab to name a few. She is frequently listed as one of the top most beautiful Bollywood actress. Bendre is set to star in the theatre in a play called, Aap Ki Soniya.

Sonali Kulkarni

Sonali Kulkarni (born 3 November 1974) is an Indian actress. She was born in Pune.
















Kulkarni first made her appearance on the silver screen in a Kannada movie titled 'Cheluvi', and thereafter has appeared in a total of 32 movies, which includes an Italian film titled 'Fuoco Si Di Me' for which she won an award in the 2006 Milan International Film Festival.
















She has received a Special Jury Award (non-feature film) in the 49th National Film Awards (2002) for her role in a short film in Marathi Chaitra (film).

















Apart from acting, she is also an editor with 'Viva', a supplement of 'Loksatta', and pens a weekly column called 'So Kool'. Now, these colums are being published in book 'So Kool' by Rajahansa Prakashan.
















Sonali has shown her dancing skills in a popular dance program (Jhalak dikla jaa) on Sony TV.
















She was married to famous Marathi play director Chandrakant Kulkarni for a while, but the couple divorced. She did her schooling from Abhinava Vidyalaya Marathi Medium School, Pune. In May 2010, she married the Managing Director of Fox Television Studio India, Nachiket Pantvaidya, in a low profile wedding ceremony.
