Preity Zinta

Preity Zinta (born 31 January 1975) is an Indian film actress. She has appeared in Hindi films of Bollywood, as well as Telugu, Punjabi and English language films. After graduating with a degree in criminal psychology, Zinta made her acting debut in Dil Se in 1998 followed by a role in Soldier the same year.
















These performances earned her a Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut, and she was later recognised for her role as a teenage single mother in Kya Kehna (2000). She subsequently played a variety of character types; her film roles along with her screen persona contributed to a change in the concept of a Hindi film heroine.
















Zinta received her first Filmfare Award for Best Actress in 2003 for her performance in the drama Kal Ho Naa Ho. She went on to play the lead female role in two consecutive annual top-grossing films in India: the science fiction film Koi... Mil Gaya, her biggest commercial success, and the star-crossed romance Veer-Zaara, which earned her critical acclaim.

















She was later noted for her portrayal of independent, modern Indian women in Salaam Namaste and Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, top-grossing productions in overseas markets. These accomplishments have established her as a leading actress of Hindi cinema. Her first international film role was in the Canadian film Heaven on Earth, for which she was awarded the Silver Hugo Award for Best Actress at the 2008 Chicago International Film Festival.
















In addition to movie acting, Zinta has written a series of columns for BBC News Online South Asia, is a regular stage performer, and along with ex-boyfriend Ness Wadia she is a co-owner of the Indian Premier League cricket team Kings XI Punjab. She is known in the Indian media for publicly speaking her mind and openly expressing her opinions, and consequently has sparked the occasional controversy.
















These controversies include her being the only witness not to retract in court her earlier statements against the Indian mafia during the 2003 Bharat Shah case, for which she was awarded the Godfrey Phillips National Bravery Award.

Preeti Jhangiani

Preeti Jhangiani (born 18 August 1980 in Mangalore, Karnataka) is an Indian actress and model.
















She is fluent in Kannada, Sindhi, Hindi, English. She studied in Jai Hind College, Mumbai where her older sister Deepa studied as well.
















Her mother is the vice-principal of the junior college section of Jai Hind College.
















Preeti Jhangiani first appeared in a Rajshri Productions' Music Album Yeh Hai Prem opposite Abbas, this made them as well as the koala bear symbol - famous. Thereafter she has appeared in Nirma Sandal soap ads.
















Her first film was in Malayalam which was called Mazhavillu. She made her Bollywood debut in 2000 with Mohabbatein. The film was a hit and started her film career. Her next hit was the comedy Awara Paagal Deewana.
















She has also acted in Punjabi films such as Sajna ve Sajna. She married actor Parvin Dabas on 23 March 2008. She lives in Bandra, Mumbai.

Priya Gill

Priya Gill is an Indian actress. She has acted in Bollywood, Tollywood, Malayalam and in a Punjabi film. Priya Gill was born on December 9, 1977.
















She began her Bollywood career with the ABCL production Tere Mere Sapne (1996) along with Arshad Warsi and Chandrachur Singh. She was known more for her Indian appeal and simple girl-next-door looks.
















Her performance was applauded in the movie Sirf Tum which was one of the highest grossing films of the year 1999.
















She worked with some of the top heroes of that time like Shahrukh Khan in Josh and Suniel Shetty.

















She is remembered for her portrayal of a naive South Indian Brahmin girl in Tere mere Sapne (1996), a smart witty waitress in Bade Dilwala (1999) and a Goan Catholic violinist in Josh (2000). She comes from a Punjabi Jatt Sikh family.

Payal Rohatgi

Payal Rohatgi (born in Hyderabad) is an Indian actress and model who appears in Bollywood films. Rohatgi was born in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, India. She is the daughter of Veena Rohatgi and Shashank Rohatgi.
















She has a brother named Gaurav Rohatgi. She was brought up in a middle class family and grew up in Ahmedabad in Gujarat. She completed her schooling from Udgam School and did her engineering from L.D. College of Engineering, Ahmedabad. She is a computer engineer by profession.
















Rohatgi started her career by modeling for popular brands like Amul, Nirma, and Nescafe. She gained attention after appearing in a television ad for Cadbury's Temptations Chocolates. Around this time she also appeared in music videos by rock band, Silk Route and Indipop artist, Kay Kay.
















In 2002, she participated in the Femina Miss India contest. The same year, she won the Miss Tourism World in Medellin, South America. After starting her career in Bollywood, Rohatgi has cut back on the number of products she endorses. However, she appeared along with cricketer Virender Sehwag in an ad film for Dabur's Lal Dantmanjan. The film was directed by Pradeep Sarkar. She was also seen in an ad film for Eveready battery in 2006 with Amitabh Bachchan, which was directed by Pradeep Sarkar.
















Rohatgi made her Bollywood debut in 2002 with Harry Baweja's, Yeh Kya Ho Raha Hai?, a Hindi remake of the Hollywood teen flick American Pie. In later years, she appeared in the films, Plan (2003), Police Force (2003) and Rakht (2004).
















In 2006, she got her major breakthrough with the film, 36 China Town, also starring Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, and Paresh Rawal. Later that year in July, she appeared in the critically acclaimed, Corporate, in which she played the part of an item girl. In 2007, her first release was Priyadarshan's Dhol, produced by the Percept Picture Company. She played a positive second lead character, paired opposite Arbaaz Khan.
