Vidya Balan

Vidya Balan (born 1 January, 1978) is an Indian actress, who appears in Hindi films. After graduating in sociology, she began her career starring in many music videos, T.V shows and many commercials, before appearing in feature films.
















Balan made her movie debut in the Bengali film, Bhalo Theko in 2003. She later made her Hindi film debut with Parineeta (2005), which earned her a Filmfare Best Female Debut Award as well as her first Filmfare Award for Best Actress nomination. She subsequently essayed a variety of character roles, receiving her first commercial success with Rajkumar Hirani's Lage Raho Munna Bhai (2006).
















She followed it with Heyy Babyy (2008) and Bhool Bhulaiya (2008), the latter earning her another nomination for a Filmfare Award for Best Actress. In 2009 she appeared in R. Balki's Paa, in a performance that ultimately won her a Filmfare Award for Best Actress.
















Vidya Balan was born in Ottapalam, Palakkad District, Kerala, to P. R. Balan (Vice President of ETC Channel) and a housewife mother in an Tamil speaking Iyer family. She has an elder sister, Priya.
















She did her schooling at St. Anthony Girls' High School, Chembur, Mumbai, and later attended St. Xavier's College where she majored in Anthropology. She went on to study MA at the University of Mumbai, when she got her first film offer.
















Her acting career started when she signed up for the Malayalam film Chakram, alongside Mohanlal but the film was shelved. After that, she signed on for the Tamil film, Run, but for reasons undisclosed, she was dropped after a first schedule and replaced by Meera Jasmine. When Chakram was restarted with Prithviraj in the lead, Meera Jasmine was chosen ahead of Balan again.

Udita Goswami

Udita Goswami (born 2 September 1984) is an Indian actress who appears in Bollywood films.
















Goswami was born in Dehradun to Assamese parents. She was educated in Dehradun where she studied at the D.A.V. Public school until class 8. She also studied at Maa Anandmayi memorial school. She is an Assamese by ethnicity.
















Goswami started her career in modeling for brands such as Pepsi, Titan Watches and Nokia among others. She then made her jump into acting, making her debut in the Bollywood film, Paap directed by Pooja Bhatt.
















Her next film Zeher, which starred Emraan Hashmi and Shamita Shetty, was her breakthrough role and she became a well known face in the industry.

















Her role was that of a femme fatale. She also appeared in the movie Aksar, opposite Dino Morea. She featured with Upen Patel in Ahmed Khan's music video of the remix of Kya Khoob Lagti Ho.

Tara Sharma

Tara Sharma (born 11 January 1977) is an Indian actress. She is half British and half Indian. Sharma is the daughter of the well-known author and actor, Partap Sharma, and Susan Sharma, and is an alumnus of the London School of Economics. She is married to ad film producer, Roopak Saluja (an INSEAD alumnus). Her son Zen was born in 2009.















Sharma made her debut in 2002 with Anupam Kher's Om Jai Jagadish. Despite having a huge star cast which included Waheeda Rehman and Anil Kapoor, the film did not do well.
















After that she made an appearance in the popular British police series The Bill. Her first hit came with the comedy Masti (2004). This was followed by the critically acclaimed film Page 3 (2005).
















She also acted in the hit movie Khosla Ka Ghosla in 2006 alongside Anupam Kher and Boman Irani. In 2010, she appeared in Dulha Mil Gaya, which also starred Sushmita Sen. Sharma has also appeared on television.
















She appeared in a successful television and print advertising campaign for Garnier, and in 2007 appeared as a main character in the Scottish BBC game show Raven, in the spin-off series Raven: The Secret Temple, as Satyarani.

Nayantara Diana Mariam Kurian

Diana Mariam Kurian (born 18 November 1984), best known by her stage name Nayantara, is an Indian film actress. She made her acting debut in 2003 in the Malayalam film Manassinakkare.
















She debuted in Tamil cinema with Ayya (2004) and in Telugu cinema with Lakshmi (2005), following which she starred alongside popular lead actors. Following several commercial successes such as Chandramukhi (2005), Ghajini (2005) and Billa (2007), she had established herself as one of the leading actresses in Tamil cinema.
















Nayantara was born in Bangalore, Karnataka as the youngest daughter to Malayali parents, Kurian Kodiyattu and Omana Kurian. Her brother, Lenu, who is nine years elder to her, lives in Dubai. As her father was an Indian Air Force official, she studied in various parts of India, mainly in North India.
















A Knanaya Catholic by birth, she did her schooling in Jamnagar, Gujarat and Delhi. Following his retirement, they settled in Kerala, where she continued her college studies, at the Kendriya Vidyalaya schools in Kerala. In Tiruvalla, she studied at Balikamadom Girls Higher Secondary School and then attended Marthoma College for her bachelor's degree in English Literature.
















Nayantara was spotted, while she was still in college, by director Sathyan Anthikkad, who cast her opposite Jayaram in the 2003 Malayalam film Manassinakkare. Later, she co-starred alongside Mohanlal in Natturajavu and in Fazil's Vismayathumbathu. She was also cast with Mammootty in Thaskaraveeran and Raapakal.















She subsequently started appearing in Tamil and Telugu films. In 2005, she was cast opposite Sarath Kumar in Hari's Ayya, debuting in the Tamil film industry, and followed it up with Chandramukhi. The comedy horror film, in which she starred alongside Rajinikanth, became one of the most successful Tamil films in history, running for over 800 days in theatres, eventually turning Nayantara into one of the most-sought after actresses in Tamil.
